Day 33

This morning the official MRI read is that the brain infection has spread a lot. It is affecting her frontal lobes now. This is where her personality & movements, among other things originate. One thing they are telling me is that once these cells are destroyed by this type of virus, they're gone. The question becomes can this new drug work fast enough to have a Kelsey. It needs to kills the virus quickly. Will the virus get to the part of the brain that controls her breathing? She may go into a coma, so then what? I've talked with Kelsey best I can and her wishes are to not go on a machine to prolong her life. She does not want a vegetable Kelsey. The miracle has to come now if we are going to get one. It is close to the end by all medical standards. We are still hoping, but weeping is here. Big conference call to Tracy today. Our God is a mighty God. He reigns over all...over Kelsey in all her ways. Oh Lord, we ask for that miracle in your mighty name. Lord, she will come to you without a fight. We have given her to you a long time ago. She is yours. She has always wanted to dance in the heavenlies. The fight isn't ours. My hope is still present. May your will be done.

  1. Prayers are being lifted up for Kelsey and your entire family, I pray that the Lord will wrap you all in His arms and allow you to feel His comfort. He knows the outcome and I just pray that He makes His presence known to you all during this time.

  2. I have followed you in this journey for a while now, and I am weeping with you this day... even though we have never met.

Your testimony of faith and overwhelming TRUST in the Lord has been a blessing to me. You Praise the God of Creation with your life as a living witness to the abundant number of people you have surely impacted. I will continue to pray for you and your Kelsey with every post you write.

  3. Hi. I know you don't know me, but I have been praying for you all ever since I found about Kelsey and Karly at my University. I can't possibly imagine what you all are going through. I encourage you to listen to Whisper to Me and Somewhere Tonight by Warren Barfield:

Both songs involve crying out to God for help. I'm so sorry you have to go through all of this and I'm definitely praying God will heal her.

Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

  4. I am going boldly before His "Throne of Grace"...praying that our Great and Mighty God will give you EVERYTHING that you need for every second of this journey. So many times we can't know the "what" or the "why" but we can always know the "Who" and clutch tightly to Him. There's a day coming when He will wipe every tear from our eyes; when the old order of things will be gone and the perfect and eternal will remain. Oh, Lord Jesus...come soon!

We love you all and will never cease to carry you in our prayers.

    In Christ,
    Paul, Susan & the girls

  5. Luke 17:15
"Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a LOUD voice!..."

I am praying earnestly for you, Kelsey (and family).

    Love, Mackenzie

  6. Lifting you ALL up in my prayers..Praying God's peace, strength and comfort is with you..I keep seeing Kelsey as the bride of Christ..Praying His mighty will be done, Praying no matter what ,,,,your faith will carry you through..In His precious name,,AMEN Love, Dianne Orr Hartzell

  7. God will continue to hold you all in his palm and cover you with his Grace.

    He is a Mighty God!

Thoughts and Prayers continue at the Wright home.

  8. Tammy, I find myself praying for Kelsey at all sorts of different times of the day as God brings her and you all to mind. I wish I knew what God has in mind, but who of us could know? But I do know that our God is good and loves Kelsey more than any other human being could--doesn't seem possible does it? And I know that Romans 8:28 is truth. He will turn all this to good one way or another. Gene and I shall continue to storm the gates of heaven and stand in the gap for Kelsey and for all you Kochs. We send our most heartfelt love. I wish we could be physically with you; please know that we are spiritually with you. Annie for all the Brueggens.

Many many are praying tonight. It is traveling Facebook as well. Please Father, we plead for healing for a miracle, for peace, joy, comfort and love.
I just wanted you to know that so many people are praying and your story and prayer request are reaching more and more ears via Facebook, prayer chain, etc.
